We’re so glad you found us and want to connect!
We’re Wesley, a United Methodist campus community at Central Michigan University committed to openness, authenticity, and community.
We take these values seriously.
As an open community, we work to offer radical hospitality to all and believe each person to be beloved by God, just as they are.
We celebrate God’s gift of diversity and value the wholeness made possible in community equally shared and shepherded by all. We welcome and affirm people of every gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation, who are also of every age, race, ethnicity, physical and mental ability, level of education, and family structure, and of every economic, immigration, marital, and social status, and so much more.
As an authentic community, we value questions, affirm doubts, struggles, and pain, and rejoice with one another in our joys. We want you to be your whole, beloved self here at Wesley.
As a community, we center love of our neighbors in all we do.
We acknowledge that we live in a world of profound social, economic, and political inequities. And, as followers of Jesus, we commit ourselves to the pursuit of justice and pledge to stand in solidarity with all who are marginalized and oppressed.
At Wesley, we believe love to be a verb and central to our Christian identity.
We hope you’ll be a part of our open, authentic community.
We have a lot going on each year–even in COVID time! We host worship and small groups. We hold fun events and retreats to connect to God, ourselves, and each other. And we serve our community in Mt. Pleasant and beyond.
